We are in UNPRECEDENTED times. Never before have we experienced WORLDWIDE CHANGE. This impacts us all on a personal level, a collective level and global level.
So many of us have been FORCED to change against our will. Furloughed workers, redundancies and huge impacts on our health make us feel ANXIOUS, out of control and UNABLE TO COPE.
We may find self care so difficult right now, but this is the time you need to DO IT THE MOST. It's time to go BACK TO BASICS on self care, it's time to INVEST in yourself to come out the other side STRONGER THAN BEFORE.
I KNOW HOW HARD THIS IS!
For a long time, I felt UNHAPPY, UNFULFILLED. I was STUCK IN MY JOB, I was living in an area I hated and I was in a relationship that wasn't working. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. I was stuck.
I did the usual to try and deal with it. I PUSHED THE FEELINGS DOWN with
BINGE-WATCHING TV, BINGE-EATING and BINGE-DRINKING.
I even bought more ‘things’ to try and feel better.
I looked for different jobs, one's that may make me happier. I waited for the ‘right time’ and HOPED SOME MAGICAL SOLUTION WOULD POP UP AND SAVE ME. That was until things got so bad, I reached out for help with nothing to lose. I HAD A COACHING SESSION, and that forty five minute call CHANGED THE COURSE OF MY LIFE.
During that session, I went from a place of hopelessness and desperation to a place of CHOICE AND CHANGE. Suddenly, I was FULLY ARMED WITH CLEAR ACTIONS to take and I had someone to be accountable to.
Since that day twelve years ago, through my own experiences and FROM WORKING WITH HUNDREDS OF CLIENTS, I now know that at any time in life, regardless of circumstance, YOU CAN CHANGE THINGS, TOO.
